Before we get started, I want to mention that this week's article will be a bit shorter than usual due to a lack of material. I apologize for that, but I promise to have more to share next week–hopefully about Osprey Village or my hobbies, whichever comes first!

I hope everyone enjoyed Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer, as we now head into the final third of the year and start looking ahead to 2026. You might be wondering how I spent my holiday, so allow me to give you a little peek into my day.

During the morning and much of the afternoon, I helped my mom and dad with pool maintenance and party preparations. This included making sure we had all the essentials–like plenty of plastic forks, knives, and spoons–and even using my height advantage to reach a few items others couldn't. I was also getting excited for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, which were set to kick off just two days later.

The highlight of the day came in the evening when my parents hosted a casual get-together and potluck party with friends (no names will be mentioned, of course!). It was a relaxed and fun evening where I made an effort to socialize with as many people as possible. I even got to show off some of my latest hobby-related acquisitions–most notably the Batmobile LEGO set from the 1960s Batman series, which I had just built the Friday before. Fun fact: one of the guests has been talking to LEGO for years about creating a set based on the Harbor Town Lighthouse, but unfortunately, it hasn't make it into their production schedule yet.

We enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner, wrapped things up with dessert, and even ended the evening listening to some classic Weird Al Yankovic songs. All in all, it was a good Labor Day filled with food, laughter, and a little bit of geeky fun.

That's all I have for this week. I'll be back next time with a new topic, and hopefully a few more exciting updates to share.
