On November 9, 2025, golfers, sponsors, and volunteers came together for one simple reason: to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) have a home and a future.
At Osprey Village’s Annual Golf Tournament, you helped raise $49,000 toward building a community where adults with IDD can live, belong, and thrive. What looked like “just a day of golf” at Golden Bear Golf Club in Indigo Run on Hilton Head Island was actually something much deeper—a picture of what can happen when a community shows up for its neighbors.
This recap is our way of saying thank you, celebrating the day, and showing how your support is answering the question so many parents quietly carry:
“What will happen to my adult child when I’m gone?”
A Community That Shows Up
For Osprey Village, events like this tournament are about more than fundraising goals and scorecards. They’re about neighbors, businesses, families, and friends linking arms so adults with IDD are not overlooked or isolated, but welcomed into a community they can call home for life.
When you register a team, sponsor a hole, donate an auction item, or volunteer your time, you’re doing more than “supporting a charity.” You’re helping build an inclusive neighborhood where adults with IDD are:
Known by name
Surrounded by friends
Supported to live as independently as possible
That’s what this tournament represents—and you were a part of it.
A Picture-Perfect Day on the Course
From the first check-in table to the final putt, the day at Golden Bear Golf Club was filled with energy and connection. Teams gathered on the practice green, carts lined up in anticipation, and conversations started long before the first tee shot.
The course offered a beautiful backdrop: lush fairways, bright Lowcountry skies, and the kind of crisp fall air that makes every drive feel just a little bit better. But the best part wasn’t the scenery—it was the people:
Friends who play together year after year
New faces who heard about Osprey Village and wanted to get involved
Community members who don’t golf but came anyway to volunteer, cheer, and support the mission
It felt less like an event and more like a family gathering with a shared purpose.
Fun On and Off the Fairways
The tournament offered plenty of friendly competition, but the fun wasn’t limited to the scorecard.
A thrilling 50/50 raffle kept the excitement high as participants waited to see who would take home the prize.
A silent auction featured fantastic items and experiences generously donated by local businesses and community members. Every winning bid directly boosted the impact of the day.
These moments added to the enjoyment of the event, but they also highlighted the heart behind it all: neighbors coming together to help adults with IDD have the security, independence, and community they deserve.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
None of this would have been possible without the incredible sponsors who stepped up in a big way. Their generosity helped underwrite event costs so that more of every dollar raised could go directly toward Osprey Village’s mission.
A heartfelt thank-you to:
AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head – Presenting Sponsor
Jolley Law Group

& all our other sponsors (see the full list here)
By sponsoring this tournament, you didn’t just put your name on a banner. You made it possible for us to focus on what truly matters: creating a community where adults with IDD can live with dignity, independence, and long-term security.
Celebrating Our Winners
Of course, no golf tournament would be complete without recognizing the winning team.
This year, we proudly celebrated the impressive performance of John Jolley, Jack Jolley, Brant Jolley, and Mike Sherry, who took home first place. Their win showcased not only their skill on the course, but also the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie that defines this event.
More than trophies, though, our winners—and every participant—left knowing they played a part in something much bigger than a round of golf. They helped move Osprey Village one step closer to becoming a home for life for adults with IDD.
Why Your Support Matters
The $49,000 raised at this year’s tournament goes directly toward Osprey Village’s vision: a thriving, inclusive residential community where adults with IDD can live as independently as possible with the support they need.
Your support helps:
Fund the development of housing and community spaces
Create opportunities for meaningful connection and friendship
Provide long-term security for families who wonder what the future will look like for their adult children
For parents, this isn’t abstract. It’s deeply personal. It means knowing they’re not carrying the question of their child’s future alone. It means hope. It means a plan.
How You Can Get Involved
If this year’s tournament inspires you, there are several ways you can continue to make a difference:
1. Participate in Future Events: Join us at next year’s golf tournament or one of our other events. Whether you play, volunteer, donate prizes, or simply come to cheer, your presence matters.
2. Become a Sponsor: Business owners and community partners play a crucial role in bringing these events to life. Sponsoring Osprey Village events is a powerful way to show your commitment to inclusion, community, and long-term support for adults with IDD.
3. Spread the Word: Share Osprey Village’s mission with your friends, family, coworkers, and networks. Talk about the housing crisis facing adults with IDD and the solution Osprey Village is working to build. Your voice can help more people discover how they can be part of the answer.
4. Give a Gift: If you’re moved by the vision of a home for life, consider making a financial gift. Every dollar brings us closer to opening doors and welcoming residents home.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the success of the 2025 Osprey Village Golf Tournament, we’re filled with gratitude and hope. The generosity, joy, and unity we saw on the course remind us that when a community comes together, real change is possible.
Thank you for playing, sponsoring, volunteering, giving, and showing up. You are helping build more than a village—you’re helping build a future where adults with IDD can live, belong, and thrive in an inclusive neighborhood they can call home.
