Now, she is thrilled to help build a new path for housing and services, creating a vibrant, supportive community where it’s truly needed.

Meet The Board

Osprey Village is governed by a dedicated, all-volunteer Board of Trustees, comprising diverse community leaders and business organizations. They are responsible for shaping the organization's mission, maintaining its financial health, and ensuring quality care for those we serve.

Rick Wedge
Board Chair

  • Rick Wedge serves as Board Chair of Osprey Village and joined the Board of Directors two years ago because Rick believes that adults with developmental differences deserve more than care—they deserve opportunity, independence, and a vibrant community in which to thrive. An entrepreneur by background, Rick founded and built a successful company specializing in advising small to mid-sized employers on the design and management of their retirement programs. His experience in building organizations, guiding long-term strategy, and fostering trusted relationships directly informs his leadership at Osprey Village. Rick’s commitment to Osprey Village is deeply personal. He has been married to his wife, Sandra, for more than 30 years, and together they are the proud parents of Johnny and Zoe. Johnny is autistic and wants to live independently. Rick and his wife are committed to making that happen. As Board Chair, Rick is focused on guiding Osprey Village through its next chapter of growth — championing a future where inclusive communities are not the exception, but the standard. Outside of his professional and nonprofit work, Rick enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through golf and pickleball.

Catherine Norwood
Vice Chair

  • Catherine began her career as an educator and was recognized as Teacher of the Year for Solano County School District. Her passion for education later lead her to McGraw-Hill Education where she became a top performing Sales Representative. However, Catherine’s greatest role began with motherhood after the birth of her two daughters, Ginger and Catie. When her youngest daughter Catie was diagnosed with Autism, Catherine made the decision to step away from her career to fully dedicate herself to Catie’s well-being and development. As an advocate, tireless researcher and caregiver, Catherine has gained invaluable experience, navigating the challenges and opportunities that come with supporting a loved one with special needs. Catherine is deeply committed to the success of this groundbreaking community and is on both the Advisory Committee and the Services Committee for Osprey Village. She was drawn to Osprey Village because she believes it is a truly unique community that will foster independence, inclusion, and a sense of well-being for adults with special needs. In addition to her work with Osprey Village, Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband Britt and daughters, outside on the South Carolina coast.
